The best and first amendment to work on for reducing the influence of money in politics and especially in elections would focus on campaign ads. It would (a) repeal any existing First Amendment freedom of speech protection for election campaign ads on television, radio, and large, stationary signs such as billboards; and (b) prohibit exactly those ads.

The Supreme court legislated from the bench by putting forth the law that corporations are people. Does that mean this is a prelude to giving corporations rights of access to amendments to the Constitution of the United States? If so, when Mitt Romney commits vulture capitalism he is liable to be indicted for murder. Excuse me, but the Supreme Court opened up a real can of worms here with the declaration that corporations are people too. Just think what we can indict the banks for. This door must swing both ways.

Has any one come up with a good name for the new amendment you are writing?
