It would be nice if we could have a free market system, but as it's been proved, there is no social conscience in big industry, just greed. We also need to have stiffer enforcement with prison sentences that are long enough to deter those fudging the books and making the CEO's responsible for their underlings, that's why they're getting the big bucks, so the the buck should stop at their door with some substantial prison time and repatriating their ill gotten gains to the treasury to go towards reducing the deficit or bolstering the social security system as a lot of their ill gotten gains was at the expense of medicare.
