I was at the 'Top of the Rock' this morning and from there you can see the tops of many buildings that could support windmills and solar collectors to offset fossil or nuclear or fossil fuels currently used to produce electricity. The capitualtion of governments to the coal and oil interests is not democracy. It is cow-towing to big dirty fossil fuel giants that have little concern for the health and well being of the population. Call it what you want, coal is not the fuel we need as we move ahead.
The poliiticians need to hear the people or if they turn a deaf ear then the population will turn them out of office.
